Which Often Means That…
You don’t have the energy to do the things you want to do, that you enjoy.
You no longer feel interested in doing those things.
You disconnect from others feel you feel down and worthless and don’t want to burden them.
As a result, you feel isolated and stuck in this low energy, sad, heavy place.

If you are anxious, you are living in the future.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”
What is Depression Really?
Depression is past pain (trauma) weighing you down in the present.
According to the National Institute of Health, when you heal trauma, symptoms of depression are often greatly reduced.
If you can release the stuck emotional pain (trauma) from your system, depression symptoms will often improve.
The weight comes off your shoulders and you feel better.
Some tools to do this are parts work, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, inner child work, Tapping, etc.
1. Breathe. Notice where you feel the sensation
of the depression in your body.
Ask yourself: Where do I feel this emotion
You might feel it in your belly or in your
chest or in your leg.
It could be anywhere.
2. Keep your attention on it as you continue to breathe.
As you keep your attention on is that sensation will usually move and change.
As you continue to stay present with it, the feelings that you’re experiencing will often move through your system.
