You can be going about your day and something will remind you of the loss.
You’ll start to feel really sad.
And want to starty crying then and there.
Grief is the feeling of sadness that happens after the experience of loss.
It could be loss of a person like a parent or a child, a pet, or even a situation like your home or workplace.
Grief is a nonlinear process. It arises in unexpected moments.
Over time, though, as we allow ourselves to feel the grief as long as we’re not pushing it down when it comes up, it will come up less and less as more time passes.
2. As you continue to breathe, keep your attention on the sensation.
The grief may come up more. Allow it to do so.
As you stay present with the sensation, it will move through your system as long as you dont fight against it.
1. First, notice where you feel the grief in your body.
Ask yourself: “Where do I feel this grief in my body?”
It could be in your belly, or your chest, or your big toe.
It could be anywhere.
